Stema Albești (Botoșani)

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 9, 2014.

The star with the seven corners symbolizes the star of the Magi, which was the coat of arms of the Balş family. The silver scythe is taken from the oldest known seal of the village. The wavy bar represents the Jitia river, which crosses the locality in its western half. The bee embodies one of the main activities of the inhabitants, beekeeping.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
