KLESZCZEWO
Province: Wielkopolska
County: Poznań
Origin/meaning
The arms combine the symbols of the two main former rulers in the area. The crossed keys and sword are taken from the arms of the Cathedral Chapter of Poznań, which owned more as half of the municipality. The keys are the symbol of St. Peter, the sword of St. Paul, the patron saints of the Chapter.
The cross refers to the Knights Templar, which owned the other parts of the area.
Literature : Plewako and Wanag, 1994
