Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 15, 1962

The arms show a dragon and cross, symbols for St. Margareth, the local patron saint. The colours are those of the State of Würzburg.

Before 1962 the municipality used a logo based on the arms of Franken with a person (Margareth ?):
