Heraldry of the World Civic heraldry of France - Armorial de France |
MONCHY-CAYEUX
Département : Pas-de-Calais
Origin/meaning
The arms were proposed in 1994, I am not sure whether these have been adopted.
The arms shows the arms of the De Bournel family. The family acquired the village and estate of Monchy-Cayeux in the 15th century and the estate remained in their possession until 1786.
Literature : Bouchet et al, 1994
