Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on February 25, 1985.
The village developed around the royal estate of Kronkreuz. The first quarter is a canting symbol for this estate, a crown (Krone) and a cross (Kreuz). In 1299 the estate became a possession of the cathedral of St. Martin in Mainz, which us symbolised by the crosier of the bishops of Mainz, as well as the colours silver and red, which are the colours of the State of Mainz. A large part of the village was owned by the Maria-abbey in Flonheim, which is symbolised by the blue fleur-de-lys, the symbol of St. Mary. The axe and the grape-knife refer to the importance of agriculture and viticulture in the municipality.
