Origin/meaning
The arms show in the right part Roman column, as the village was already inhabited in Roman times. The three rings symbolise the former rulers in the area, the Von Ringoltingen family. The arms were devised and adopted in 1945.
Literature: Wappenbuch des Kantons Bern, 1981.
