Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 2, 1969.

The pine tree is the symbol of the Bregenzer Wald, in which the village is situated. The local seal from the 19th century also showed a piine tree. The base is a canting symbol, Reuthe is derived from reuten, or roden, which means clearing of forest.
