IRISH GUARDS, BRITISH ARMY
History: Raised in 1900.
Official blazon
The Star of the Order of St. Patrick in silver plate, the Motto Quis Seperabit (Who shall separate us?), date MDCCLXXXIII (1783, when the Order was instituted), and the circle in gilt, on blue enamel ground (The Ribbon and Mantle of the Order are sky blue in colour) Within the circle the shamrock in green enamel over the red cross of St Patrick.
Origin/meaning
The Regiment uses the Star of the Order of St Patrick (not awarded any more) as their Badge.
