Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 13, 2003.
The file black pales refer to the 5 villages in the municipality; Culm, Groitschen, Waaswitz, Zschippach and Wüstenhain. The wavy division line refers to the Brahmenbach and the Rotem Bach, the red colour also refers to the latter.
The mill wheel refers to the four former watermills in the municipality and the red/black/golden colour combination refers to the Principality of Reuß jüngere Linie to which the area historically belonged.
