FERNOËL

Département : Puy-de-Dôme

Blason de Fernoël/Arms (crest) of Fernoël
Official blazon
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted September 4, 1998.

The ash leaves are talking (farnus = ash in Latin or frêne in French). The tower is reminiscent of the old castle, of which only the chapel remains. The blue balls symbolize the thirty ponds of the town. The bar refers to the ancient Roman road of Agrippa on a terrace of sinople symbolising farmland.
