Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on August 26, 2002.
The arms symbolize the location of the village and its natural surroundings. The landscape shaped by the Ice Age is characterized by the valley of the "Schraden" through which the Pulsnitz flows and the Gröden ridge. The wavy bars symbolize the Pulsnitz, the hill the Gröden ridge. This is the highest topographic point of the Land of Brandenburg, which is symbolized by the stylized measuring stick on top. The hunting horn stands for the Schradenwald, a former hunting area, which for centuries was administered from Gröden.
