The arms were granted on April 23, 1990.
The arms take up the arms of medieval landowners of the Aflenzer family. These were augmented by apples to symbolise that Albersdorf-Prebuch is part of the Oststeirische Apfelstraße (route of apples, an organization of villages in Eastern Styria, where fruit growing plays an important part in local economy). The vine-leaves commemorate the importance of viticulture in the past.
