French D'azur à la croix cousue de gueules, chargée en coeur d'un écusson octogonal d'argent surchargé de lettre entrelacées S et L de sable, et cantonnée de quatre fleurs de lis d'or.

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 1962.

The arms replaced older arms used since the late 19th century, showing the red cross and fleur-de-lys. As these arms were identical to other arms with a similar design, the letters S and L were added.
