THEODORE HENRY REVERMAN

Born : August 9, 1877
Deceased : July 18, 1941

Bishop of Superior, 1926-1941

Arms (crest) of Theodore Henry Reverman

Official blazon

  • (persona arms) Per bend azure and gules·, on a bend between a star in chief and a ciborium in base, all silver, a torch gules.

Origin/meaning

As common in US episcopal heraldry, the arms show the arms of the diocese impaled with the personal arms of the bishop.

The Bishop's arms show the lighted torch, attribute of Saint Theodore, his name Patron, the star of Our Lady, and the ciborium as symbol of the Blessed Sacrament.
