District : Reutte

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1664.

The arms show three pine trees in front od the arms of Austria. Already in 1558 the city asked for a grant of arms from the Counts of Tirol, which was rejected. Still, at the end of the 16th century the city already used seals and arms with the above composition. Only in 1664 it was granted.
