SOMMEILLES
Département : Meuse
French | Coupé: au 1er parti au I d'or à la bande de gueules chargée de trois alérions d'argent, au II d'azur aux deux bars adossés d'or, au 2e de sinople au lion couché d'argent. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on November 25, 2011.
The upper half symbolises that the village historically was part of Lorraine and the Barrois. The sleeping lion is a canting element (sleeping = sommeillant).
