English Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a cobalt blue lozenge with rounded corners, 2 inches (5.08cm) in width and 3 inches (7.62cm) in height, a torch surmounted by crossed retorts, all golden yellow.

Distinctive Unit Insignia. Description: A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/16 inches (2.70cm) in height overall; On a wreath Or and Azure a dragon rampant Vert, armed and langued Gules, within a scroll bearing the motto "ELEMENTIS REGAMUS PROELIUM" (Let Us Rule the Battle by Means of the Elements).

Shield: Per bend Or and Azure, in base a lamp of knowledge of the first flamed Proper.

Origin/meaning

Shooulder Sleeve Insignia: Cobalt blue and yellow are the colors used for the Chemical Corps. The crossed retorts are taken from the Chemical Corps insignia. The torch signifies knowledge and alludes to the training in chemical activities.

Distinctive Unit Insignia: The colors yellow and blue are the colors of the Chemical Corps. The dragon, a legendary creature, symbolizes the fire and destruction of chemical warfare.

Device (Coat of Arms): The shield is yellow and blue, the colors of the Chemical Warfare Service. The lamp of knowledge represents the School. The dragon, a legendary creature, symbolizes the fire and destruction of chemical warfare.

Flag. The flag for the U.S. Army Chemical School is cobalt blue with a golden yellow fringe. The device of the School is centered on the flag (TIOH drawing 5-1-238).
