CHIRNOGI
District/county (județ) : Călărași
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 5, 2011.
Bunches of grapes and ears of wheat signify the main occupations of the inhabitants, viticulture and agriculture. The wavy bar symbolizes the fact that the locality is located at the confluence of the Argeș river with the Danube river.
The lower half refers to the historical past of the locality and the archeological vestiges discovered in the area.
The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
