COȘULA
District/county (județ) : Botoșani
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 27, 2012.
The crossbow represents the coat of arms of the great logopath Gavrilaș Mateiaș, the founder of the monastery from Coșula. The stone bridge is reminiscent of the old bridge built in the 18th century over the Miletin River.
The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
