URMENIȘ
District/county (județ) : Bistrița-Năsăud
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on October 1, 2014.
Wheat ears and ram's head refer to the basic occupations of the inhabitants, namely agriculture and animal husbandry. The oak branches symbolize the forest richness of the area.
The cross evokes the wooden church from the village of Șopteriu. The hills refer to the etymology of the name, Delureni, a component village of the municipality.
The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
