ROGER JOSEPH VANGHELUWE
Born: November 7, 1936
Deceased :
Bishop of Brugge, 1984-2010
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The two Jerusalem crosses refer to the Jerusalem House where the bishop lived for 14 years, but also to the city of Jerusalem. Hence the two crosses. The base is taken from the arms of the Ten Duinen Abbey where he attended the seminary. It is also a symbol for the Eucharist.
