Official blazon

Un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat. În partea superioară, în câmp roșu, se află o fortificație crenelată, de argint. În partea inferioară, în câmp albastru, se află un călăreț cu armură, drapel și scut, de argint, galopând spre dreapta. Scutul este trimbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 23, 2010.

The crenellated fortification represents the Dacian fortress of Bănița.

The rider with armor, flag and shield signifies elements from the former seal of the locality.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
