COSSONAY
Canton : Vaud
Official blazon
Parti d'azur et d'argent.
Origin/meaning
The actual origin of the arms is not known. In 1697, François Charrière de Mex, an officer in foreign service whose brother was lord of Cossonay from 1673 to 1717, offered the local Council a stamp of silver with these arms. The arms have been used since.
