MIHAI EMINESCU
District/county (județ) : Botoșani
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on November 3, 2015.
The green field refers to the secular forests that still cover part of the territory of the locality and were made known by the lyrics of the great poet Mihai Eminescu.
The book and the star remind of Ipotești village, the poet's birthplace, which gives the name of the locality.
The silver wall represents the two Dacian fortresses from Stâncești.
The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
