English Azure a saltire Argent cantoned between in chief a demi-angel hands conjoined and elevated upon the breast and wings displayed., in the flanks two fleurs-de-lys and in base a grizzly bear (Ursus horribilis) passant Or.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted by the Scottish Lord Lyon in 1988.

The arms are based on the Scottish saltire, with an angel for Los Angeles and a grizzly bear taken from the arms of the State of California.
