Escudo de prata com um castelo de vermelho aberto e iluminado de ouro, assente num contra-chefe de quatro faixas, duas de verde e duas de prata. Em chefe um açor de sua cor, voante, tendo nas garras uma quina de Portugal. Escudo cercado pelo Colar da Ordem de Torre e Espada. Coroa mural de cinco torres de prata. Listel branco com os dizeres : " CIDADE DE ANGRA DO HEROÍSMO ", em letras de negro.
