Escudo de púrpura, com um báculo abacial de ouro com sudário de prata, posto em pala entre duas espigas de milho de ouro, folhadas de prata. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro em maiúsculas : “ VAIRÃO “.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 12, 2000.
The crosier refers to two monasteries that played a role in the local history, the Vairão and São Bento monasteries. The corn cobs refer to the importance of agriculture for the parish.
