Origin/meaning
The book with BERYTUS NUTRIX LEGUM (Beirut mother of legislations) written in Latin and in Arabic, symbolises that the first law school of the Roman Empire was built in Beirut. The ship represents a Phoenician ship, Beirut was an important Phoenician Port.
