Official blason

I rött fält en likbent vinkelhake med spetsen uppåt och därunder en stolpvis ställd timmeryxa, båda av guld.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 26, 1950.

The hook refers to the local timber and furniture industry, the ax is taken from the seal of the Kåkind hundred, known from 1568. It also refers to the importance of forestry for the municipality.
