HOHENZELL

State : Oberösterreich
District : Ried im Innkreis

Wappen von Hohenzell (Oberösterreich)

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 11, 1979.

The roses are derived from the arms of the Oberheim family, who owned many possessions in the area. The sword is a symbol for the fact that the town was at a strategic position between Austria and Bavaria, which meant that there have been several battles for the town.
