Escudo de Cubelles

Official blazon

Escut caironat truncat: 1r. de sinople, un castell d'or tancat de gules; 2n. d'or, 4 pals de gules. Per timbre una corona mural de vila.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on January 15, 1993.

The arms show the castle of Cubelles, that was a possession of the Catalan kings. Because of this, there are the royal arms of Catalonia-Aragon (four red pales on gold) depicted on the arms of the town, that became a "street of Barcelona" (a town with the same privileges as the capital city) in 1418.
