Official blason
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 1977.
The arms show in the upper half a deer, based on the rock carvings in the municipality, but not an actual carving. The original design shows a solar cross, but in the final design the deer was chosen.
The lower half is canting, the name has been explained as meaning 'the bends', and show a bend in the local rivers.
