Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on September 21, 1951.
The crossbow refers to the rich nature and the former hunting in the area. The wings are taken from the crest of the Brahe family and refer to the Brahelinna fortress, built by Finland's Governor General, Count Per Brahe.
