LIŽNJAN

County : Istria County

Arms of Ližnjan

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on December 20, 2004.

The arms show a branch of the Spanish broom (Spartium junceum L.) called locally brnistra or žuka, which flowers from April to July in the Ližnjan littoral.

The arms replaced an older symbol used since 1995:

Arms of Ližnjan
