SAIFEN-BODEN
State : Steiermark
District : Hartberg-Fürstenfeld (until 2015 Hartberg)
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on July 6, 1998.
The ear of corn is, of course, a reference to the importance of agriculture. In Austria, "corn" means usually "rye", rye being more common traditionally than, wheat or barley.
The blue pale in the shield means the Safen brook. The spirit level indicates that now other trades are flourishing in the municipality besides farming.
