Origin/meaning
The key in the first quarter symbolises a Gallo-Roman key found during excavations between 1975 and 1978. The elm leaf is a canting element (orme=elm). The third quarter shows the arms of the De Vergennes family, owners of the village in the 18th century. The fritillary is a typical flower is a very characteristic plant in the floodplain meadows of the Saône valley.
