Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 28, 1984.

The arms show traditionally a heraldic salamander, lying in the burning fire without consumption and wasting (it could be an allusion to St. Saviour, the local patron saint). Massoteres belonged to the castle of Talteüll, in the county of Urgell.
