Official blazon

  • (sk) V červenom štíte upínací nástroj s dvoma horizontálymi dielmi, spojenými strednou z troch vertikálnych skrutiek - všetko zlaté.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 1, 2003.

The arms show a special clamping tool, which belonged to the equipment of the carpentry workshop. This working tool consists of two horizontal parts, which are connected by a middle of three vertical movement screws. It was made of hardwood and used to clamp the material. The tool is probably chosen as the village in the 17th and 18th centuries was known for its carpenters.

The symbol is already used on the seal of the village known since 1732. Above the shield a head of an angel was seen, which is quite common in Renaissance-Baroque seals.
