Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in 1987.
The three fleur-de-lys on a blue background symbolizing the land belonging to the first royal estate in the province of Ile-de-France and to the abbey of Saint-Denis, both which are situated in the municipality. The banner refers to the Commandry of the Templars in Villedieu, to which part of the municipality belonged. The scallop refers to the road to Santiago de Compostela, which passes through the town. The fourth quarter shows the arms of the Séguier family, first Lords of La Verrière.
