DIOCESE OF CRICIÚMA (Dioecesis Criciumensis)

Country : Brazil
Denomination : Roman Catholic

Established : 1998

Arms (crest) of Diocese of Criciúma

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in August 2019.

The red color is the symbol of the Holy Spirit, the blood of the martyrs and the mercy of the people. The star represents Mariana Devotion, so present in the lives of our people. The lily represents the patron of our bishop, St. Joseph. And the three rings symbolize the Holy Trinity, perfect model of community.
