Official blazon
- (1550) Ain Plauen Schillt, ain Ferhen Paum sein plosser Stamb von unden auf bis in die mitte des Schilltes raichendt. Und dann im obern Taill mit seinen gruenen aufgebraitteten Essten und daranhangenden Zapfen, Irer natürlichen farb und gestalt.
- (2020) In Blau aus dem Schildfuß wachsend eine goldene Föhre.
Origin/meaning
Fehring was granted arms by King Ferdinand I. The letters patent are dated July 8, 1550 at Augsburg.
The arms show a kind of pine tree, a canting element in the local dialect Föhre (pine-tree). After the mergers in 2015 the arms were continued, but in more heraldic colours, where the blue now officially represents water and the gold the fertile soil.
