English | Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On an embroidered rectangle arched to top and bottom and quartered white and green, a black Panther’s head facing forward snarling, eyes and teeth white, inside of mouth and details smoke within a black border. Attached above, an arched green scroll inscribed “DELTA” in black letters. Attached below, an arched green scroll inscribed “PANTHERS” in black letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width, all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border.
Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in width overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Vert, a sword point to chief Sable. On either side of the shield a Black Panther confronté head to base. Arching above the panthers, a Green scroll inscribed “DELTA” and arching below the panthers, a Green scroll inscribed “PANTHERS” in base metal letters. |
Origin/meaning
Shoulder Sleeve Insignia:Black, green and white are the school’s colors. The Panther represents fierceness and valour and is the school’s mascot.
Shoulder Loop Insignia: Black, green and white are the school’s colors. The school’s motto is “Purpose – Direction – Motivation”. The Panther is the school’s mascot.
The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and Shoulder Loop Insignia was both approved 13 October 2005.
