Wappen von Ludmannsdorf/Arms (crest) of Ludmannsdorf

Official blazon

In Blau mit goldenen Zahnflanken pfahlweise ein goldenes, schwarzes gezeichnetes Korbgeflecht.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 5, 2002.

The golden and blue parts refer to the importance of forestry and the timber industry, the gold also refers to the rich agricultural soil, the blue to the Drau river and several lakes in the area.

The pale shows a weaving pattern of making baskets and straw hats and other ornaments. To make products from straw was an important local tradition.
