Origin/meaning
the bend refers to the old Roman road that ran through the current municipality. The fleur-de-lys and the blue colour are taken from the arms the Brilly family, lords of Bocage. The star is taken from the arms of the Asselin family, last lords of Auberville in the 18th century. The crosier is taken to represent the Valasse Abbey, to which the parish was subjected.
