Stema Aita Mare

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 16, 2008.

The sun and moon elements can be found in the seal of the Micloșoara court , whose residence was Aita Mare.

The tree means that the locality belongs to the so-called Forest Land micro-region. The blue wavy stripe symbolizes the Olt River.

The crenellated line refers to the Unitarian church-fortress in the locality, built in the 14th century and fortified in the 16th and 17th centuries.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
