SCHINZNACH

Canton : Aargau
Additions : 2014 Oberflachs, Schinznach-Dorf

Wappen von Schinznach/Arms (crest) of Schinznach

Official blazon

In Blau über weissem Fluss im Schildfuss gelber Rebstock mit zwei gelben Trauben und zwei gelben Blättern, der sich s-förmig um gelben Stickel windet.

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on November 29, 2013 and became official on January 1st, 2014.

As the new municipality has the largest area of vinyards in the Aargau Canton, a grape vine was chosen as the main symbol in the arms. The grape is shown in the shape of a letter S for the town's initial. The two bunches of grapes stand for the two former municipalities.

The base shows a wavy bar for the Talbach and Aare rives.
