Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in June 2001.
The castle refers to the two (former) castles in the municipality; the castle of Montvaillant (residence of the bishops of Mende) and the castle of Pierrefort, today in ruins.
The purple represents the plums evoking the name of the village (prune=plum). The dolmen is the dolmen of Fraysse in the municipality.
The shield is surrounded by chestnut branches, a common tree in the municipality.
