Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 1987.

The arms are a combination of the leaf taken from the old Svedala arms and the colours of the arms of Bara. The three leaves are placed in the same composition as the crowns in the Swedish national arms.

These arms were officially granted in February 19, 1960.
The arms combine the leaf for nature and agriculture, with a cogwheel for industry.
