Official blazon

  • (1945) Gespalten von Blau und Silber belegt mit zwei gekreuzten goldenen Schlüsseln mit aufwärts gerichteten Bärten.
  • (1986) In Blau zwei gekreuzten goldenen Schlüsseln mit aufwärts gerichteten Bärten.

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in July 1945 and again on June 19, 1986.

The arms are the symbol of St. Peter , the patron saint of the town. The keys already appear on a borderstone from 1678 as well as om a local banner from the late 18th century.
