Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 25, 2008.
These are the arms of the former Navo municipality.
The previous arms were granted on June 26, 1961.
The arms show a miner's hammer, changing into an anchor. These two symbolise the major industries in town, chalk-mining and fisheries. The wings are a symbol of trade and shipping.
